Missile attack under way in Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi — authorities

Sochi residents were asked to take all the necessary safety measures

SOCHI, October 17. /TASS/. Russian air defenses are repelling a missile attack on Russia’s Black Sea resort city of Sochi, Mayor Andrey Proshunin wrote on Telegram.

"Air defense systems went into action in Sochi. A missile attack is being repelled. I ask Sochi residents and city guests to remain calm and take all the necessary safety measures," he wrote.

Earlier, Proshunin said the city has been responding to a drone attack.
